Last week we held our Junior and Senior Annual Sports Awards where we celebrated the contribution and sporting achievements of students throughout the year. We were privileged to welcome Kristy Munroe, one of Australia’s most decorated lifesavers, as our guest speaker. Kristy Munroe won state, national and world championship ironwoman crowns – all before her 21st birthday.

Students greatly valued the opportunity to hear Kristy reflect and share her experience of juggling sport and learning and all that she has achieved at such a young age in her sporting career.

Well done to all students on their participation and growth in PLC sport this year. Special congratulations to our Junior Sports Stars Jax McFadden, Scarlet van den Hurk and Lily Costa and Year 12 student, Katie Graves who was acknowledged for Excellence in Sport.

2023 has been a year of growth, with a healthy increase in Pacific students participating in sport. We acknowledge the incredible time sacrifice and support that many of our staff make in their efforts to grow and develop PLC Sport. We are grateful to the many coaches and staff who are involved in sporting teams all year round. Thank you to all Pacific students, staff and parents who have contributed to the successful year of sport. We look forward to continuing to provide strong opportunities for our students to grow as athletes and people in 2024.

Mr Cameron West-McInnes, Head of Sport | Mr Darren Hooper, Head of Junior Sport P-6
