PLC OCEANfest One World 2023 is just 4 weeks away and is shaping up to be a truly exciting event. OCEANfest offers a great opportunity to connect with the PLC and wider community and celebrate this year’s theme of ‘One World’. We look forward to coming together to celebrate the richness of our cultural diversity and our natural environment as we enjoy amusement rides, great variety of food and beverage, live music, an animal farm, roaming performers, and support the Cent Auction, Raffle and Parent-led stalls. Unlimited Ride Passes and OCEANfest Currency are now available to purchase through Flexischools.

OCEANfest HELPERS

Last Friday a very generous group of PLC parents gave up their morning to prepare over 25 baskets of Cent Auction items. These prizes were donated from PLC families form ELC – Year 6. Thank you to all families in this space for supporting our fun filled festival. There are so many great prizes to be WON!

Congratulations to Year 2 as an entire cohort, for winning the Pizza Party. The Year 2 cohort collected a colourful variety of prizes to build their Cent Auction Baskets. Basket themes - MASTERCHEF, MEMORY MAKING - ARTS AND CRAFT & POTTING ABOUT - GARDENING. All our Cent Auction Baskets are on display in the admin building.

OCEANfest Cake Stall – Calling all BAKERS!

To ensure the success of our cake stall at OCEANfest, all PLC families are invited to donate home-baked goods that could add variety to this year’s One World festival theme. Any and all baked goods are welcome. Drop off of baked items will be on the Friday morning of OCEANfest, 18th August - more details to come. All baked items must have ingredients labelled. Please contact fop@pacluth.qld.edu.au for any enquiries.

We would encourage everyone to support the OCEANfest organisers as we prepare. An online rostering system will become available shortly, however in the meantime, if you are interested in being an OCEANfest helper, please email - fop@pacluth.qld.edu.au
