The Caloundra Gallery has a prestigious exhibition each year called Local Artists - Local Content Art Prize. As part of that major exhibition, there is a Local Student Art Prize competition. Forty student finalists were selected to exhibit their works at the gallery including 8 PLC students – Byron Bignall (Yr 6), Tilly Bignall (Yr 8 ), Isabella Jeha (Yr 9), Kahlea Jones (Yr 9), Isabella Lee (Yr 9) Jemma Simpson (Yr 9) Marina Krueger (Yr 11) and Erin Lacey (Yr 11).

We congratulate Isabella Jeha from Year 9, as a highly commended in the 13 and under category. And we congratulate Erin Lacey from Year 11, as the 14-18 years winner.

All participants were acknowledged for their participation and received certificates at the full Middle and Senior College assembly on Tuesday.

We have been selected as one of 6 successful schools to participate in the Sunshine Arts Fest (SAF) 2023!

SAF is a high school competition run by Sunshine Plaza to celebrate our local community’s creative young people, giving schools the opportunity to create and design installations, with the help of augmented reality (AR) technology.

This is a very exciting opportunity for our Art students, who will have an opportunity to work with Sarah Sculley, Artist and participate in the inaugural Sunshine Art Fest competition.

Installations will be on display at the Plaza between 8th – 17th June, where you can support our Art students by casting your vote.
