Earlier this week, Harvard educator Mark Church, supported by Mrs Karin Morrison, inspired our teachers as they led a reflective workshop at the College. Pacific is focused on providing rich and engaging learning experiences that develop a deep culture of thinking across the College. The two-day workshop enhanced the capacity of teachers to reflect and engage in inquiry based learning to improve their practice. We greatly value the ongoing commitment of our teachers to provide flexible learning pathways that promote deep thinking and growth for our students. The focus on developing a culture of thinking equips our young people well for the evolving nature of ongoing learning and deep growth within school and beyond. We thank Ms Sue Arahill for her leadership of this event and together with Mrs Rae Hall, Mrs Sue Zweck and our teachers for the engagement in growing our culture of thinking across the College.

The International Women’s Day Breakfast is a morning for all members of our community to learn about the cultivation of wellbeing from Mrs Ali Palmer and to be inspired by Mrs Shelagh Brennand, as she shares her story of recovery from a debilitating stroke. There will also be the opportunity to be entertained by our students while enjoying breakfast provided by our Hospitality students. We look forward to a great morning of connection where we celebrate our capacity to welcome and grow as men and women.

We are in the early phases of our netball and soccer seasons with our Club PLC teams. Thank you to our parents and staff who have given their time to support the sporting development of our young people through these two clubs. A particular thank you to those who attended the soccer club’s working bee last weekend. As a community, we wish both groups all the best for the season ahead and are very appreciative of all that everyone does in supporting both of these groups.

May God grant us generous hearts that create waves of belonging.
