Bring Your Own Device Program
The College Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program requires Year 3-12 students to access a personal device. This program aims to support students in their learning and enhance their educational experience at the College. Using their own device, students will use the College’s wireless network in their classes to access our digital learning programs and resources. There are different device specifications which are dependent on the student's year level.
Applications for the 2026 Device Lease Program have now closed. Applications for the 2027 program will open later this year.
If families wish to directly purchase their own device that meets College hardware device requirements, please see your preferred retailer or order a device online from a manufacturer. To assist with this option, the College has arranged a Bring Your Own (BYO) device purchasing portal with JB Hi-Fi which contains a selection of devices that are approved for use in the College BYO program. The School Code required to access the JB Hi-Fi will be published in the Compass Newsletter, or can be requested by emailing ithelp@pacluth.qld.edu.au. Please do not share this School Code outside of the College community.
Note that the devices listed in the JB Hi-Fi BYO device purchasing portal are not the only devices which can be used in the College BYOD program. Please refer to the 2026 Bring Your Own (BYO) Device Specification (linked below) for further details, including the type of devices which are supported.
For BYO device setup guides for students with PLC logins, please visit byod.pacluth.qld.edu.au. Students with BYO devices will need to visit the IT Office before connecting to the PLC network for the first time.
