A Proud Moment for Our College Community

On Thursday 13th November, Year 12 student Miles, officially signed his contract for a full athletic scholarship to Oregon State University in the United States. This remarkable milestone for Miles was celebrated with his family, peers and staff. Miles will commence his studies at the prestigious institution in the fall of 2026.

The signing ceremony marked the culmination of years of dedication from the young golfer, who has already secured multiple junior national and international titles. Those who have watched his journey unfold describe him as disciplined, humble and fiercely committed to his sport.

In the 2025 Compass Review feature article, “From Tee-Off to Top Rankings,” Miles reflected on the significance of this achievement and the path ahead.
“Getting that scholarship was a massive moment for me,” he said. “It’s something I’ve been working towards since I started playing competitively, and I feel Oregon State is a place where I can really grow and eventually reach pro level.”

At the signing event, the sense of pride within the College community was unmistakable. Teachers, friends and family gathered around Miles as he signed the official documents, offering applause, cheers and heartfelt congratulations.

College leaders expressed their admiration not only for Miles’s athletic accomplishments but also for the character and determination he displays both on and off the course. Many noted that his achievement serves as an inspiration to younger students who aspire to reach similar heights.
