Official Opening and Dedication
On Friday 1st May, we proudly celebrated the official opening and dedication of the new Pacific Health and Fitness Precinct - an exciting milestone in the College’s ongoing commitment to excellence in sport, health, performing arts and community engagement.
This purpose-built facility has been thoughtfully designed to enhance student wellbeing, physical development and connection. Featuring contemporary, state-of-the-art spaces, the precinct supports dynamic learning and active lifestyles for students from Kindergarten through to Year 12.
The precinct was officially opened by the Deputy Premier of Queensland, the Honourable Jarrod Bleijie MP, alongside former Business Manager Mr Mike Healy, whose leadership, professional capability, dedication, generosity of time and vision have played a significant role in shaping the College’s growth over the past two decades.
The College community was honoured to welcome a number of distinguished guests to share in this special occasion. We extend our sincere thanks to Reverend Ben Hentschke, First Assistant Bishop of the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District; the Honourable Andrew Wallace MP, Federal Member for Fisher; Mr David Lonergan, Deputy Executive Director – Finance, Lutheran Education Queensland; Councillor Tim Burns; and representatives from the Queensland Independent Schools Block Grant Authority, Bickerton Masters, Warrell Construction and Hammond Neale.
We also thank Principals from schools on the coast, College Council members, Friends of Pacific, special guests, staff and students for their presence and support in marking this significant chapter in the life of the College.
The opening of the Health and Fitness Precinct reflects Pacific’s continued dedication to providing exceptional facilities that inspire students to grow, connect and thrive across all dimensions of their learning journey.
